THE POWER & PRESENCE OF ALMIGHTY GOD

TUESDAY OF THE NINETEENTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME

It is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost. (Matthew 18:14)

We are in the final hours of preparing for our annual summer Gala at Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center in Jackson, Wyoming. Like everyone, we've had to pivot and turn our beautiful summer evening Gala into a virtual event. A virtual Gala requires lots of social media announcements, email campaigns, and digital advertising to get people excited about an event we don't want them to actually "attend."

A member of our board and her husband are the hosts at their beautiful home. Our speaker, Scott Klusendorf, has recorded his talk, which is sure to be moving and inspirational. We've got a word from a donor, and a short speech from our director. We've even got a praise and worship band singing at the foot of the Tetons.

In December, a young couple walked into our pregnancy resource center looking for help—a day that would change their lives and ours. That couple took the time to tell their story on camera for our Gala. They are the stars of our Gala. You never know what God has planned for your life or the work He calls you to. Working with that young couple for the last several months has been a highlight of my pandemic life. I've had the pleasure of being welcomed into their home through video chat and shared in their journey to become new parents. Meeting their son, in person, was a day I'll never forget.

In their story, I feel the power and presence of Almighty God, a deep sense that He knows each of us and loves us. God is real and working in each of us, infusing us with His grace to live a life of faith, hope and charity.

For all the people who came before me and for all the people who will come after me in our ministry, all of our work is made worth it because "It is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost." (Matthew 18:14)

Please consider tuning in to our Virtual Gala for its debut on August 20 at 7 PM to hear this lovely couple's story. I'll also humbly ask you to consider donating to our ministry. Even a small donation helps ensure that we are there to continue serving moms, dads, and babies who need help. Lastly, I ask you to pray for our ministry; that we will have open hands and hearts to be a source of hope to all who come to us. God Bless.

Peace & Love, Sarah Beth
