DAY 15: ST. JOSEPH NOVENA

Nearly a decade ago, I was attending a daily Mass with my parents in the church where I grew up. That day, they were beginning the Novena to St. Joseph. A novena from the Latin: novem, means "nine." It is a series of prayers over nine days often for a specific intention and usually asking for the prayers of a particular saint.

I continued to pray my novena to St. Joseph over the following days, and on the feast day of St. Joseph, God changed my life forever.

Of course, I had no idea what God was beginning in my life that day, but He did. As I stood at the front desk of Our Lady Queen Heaven in Lake Charles, Louisiana, I agreed to help David Dawson with a new LifeTeen program at the church. From that day, the Lord would use me to work for him in many different ways in the Church and ministry. I can, without a doubt, tell you that novena to St. Joseph saved my life and placed me on a direct path to a more intimate relationship with God. #livinglent2
